Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any GTFO service — including gtfo.gg, widget.gtfo.gg, and configs.gtfo.gg — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the services.

2. Description of Services

GTFO provides a suite of free, community-driven tools for Counter-Strike 2 players:

• gtfo.gg — Central account management, authentication, and feedback board.
• CS2 Widget (widget.gtfo.gg) — Real-time CS2 stream overlay widget powered by Game State Integration (GSI), with customizable themes and shared presets.
• CS2 Configs (configs.gtfo.gg) — CS2 configuration management, allowing users to save, edit, export, and share their game settings.

3. Account & Authentication

Access to GTFO services requires authentication via Steam OpenID. By signing in, you authorize GTFO to retrieve your public Steam profile information (Steam ID, display name, and avatar). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Steam account. GTFO is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from compromised Steam credentials.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use GTFO services in good faith and not to:

• Abuse, exploit, or attempt to circumvent authentication or authorization mechanisms
• Submit fraudulent, misleading, or abusive feedback
• Interfere with the operation of any GTFO service or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access services without prior authorization
• Attempt to access other users’ data or accounts
• Use the services for any illegal purpose under applicable law

The operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these terms, without prior notice.

5. User Content

Content you submit through GTFO services (feedback posts, shared configurations, widget presets) remains your intellectual property. By submitting content, you grant GTFO a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, and distribute that content within the platform as necessary to provide the services.

Feedback posts are retained after account deletion in anonymized form to preserve community contributions. Shared widget presets and public configurations may continue to be accessible after deletion if they have been adopted by other users.

6. Game State Integration (GSI)

CS2 Widget uses Valve’s Game State Integration system to receive real-time game data from Counter-Strike 2. By enabling GSI, you acknowledge that:

• GSI configuration requires modifying a local CS2 configuration file
• Game data is transmitted from your machine to GTFO’s servers during gameplay
• Raw game state data is processed in real-time and not permanently stored
• GTFO is not responsible for any issues arising from CS2 or Steam updates that affect GSI functionality

7. Service Availability

GTFO is provided free of charge, without any guarantee of availability, uptime, or continued operation. The operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue any service, or any feature within a service, at any time and without notice. No compensation will be provided for service interruptions or termination.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the GTFO operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use any GTFO service
• Loss of data, configurations, or settings
• Unauthorized access to your account
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Issues caused by third-party services (Steam, Valve, Leetify, etc.)

The services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

9. Privacy

Your use of GTFO services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using the services, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Account deletion is permanent and removes your data from all GTFO services (gtfo.gg, widget.gtfo.gg, and configs.gtfo.gg). The operator may also terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Third-Party Services

GTFO integrates with third-party services (Steam, Leetify, Google Analytics, Vercel) that are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. GTFO is not responsible for the practices or availability of these external services.

12. Intellectual Property

Counter-Strike 2, Steam, and all related marks are trademarks of Valve Corporation. GTFO is an independent, community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Valve Corporation. All GTFO-specific content, design, and code remain the property of the platform operator.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland. Any disputes arising from the use of GTFO services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Swiss courts, unless otherwise required by the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

14. Changes to These Terms

The operator reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform’s announcement system. Continued use of the services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
